GS News - Xbox sharing data with advertisers, DualShock 4 on PC!

@Foreheadvcr @DiamondDM13 First off, MS, according to some important person at the company which I can't remember right now (can't be arsed to search for it, google it if you wish to know), said that they think the console has the potential to sell up to billions (thousands of millions) units. So it's not about collecting data from one single specific user, aka me, but from all users. That collective data is really important for advertisement among other things, so MS can easily sell the information they collect with the Kinect for a good extra buck on the side.

And to be honest, I wouldn't mind it, but if only they are to give me a cut from that revenue. I don't intend to provide MS with my data for them to make a great revenue from it without me ever seeing a cent of it. If that is fine with you, then please, go ahead.

This applies to the PS Eye aswell, and any other camera Nintendo may use. Although Sony and Nintendo didn't really specify what kind of action and interactions it can record and identify, it's still something possible, so it should be considered.

Finally, I wasn't specifically speaking about the Kinect. I refer to any and all gimmicks made by all companies. So yes, Wii Remotes and PS Moves and so on. (And I actually own a PS Move with camera aswell, that remains unplugged.) I wish they would focus their efforts on more interesting and polished experiences, rather than gimmicks.
